Staphylococcal gamma-hemolysin (Hlg), leukocidin (Luk), and Panton-Valentine leukocidin (PVL) are two-component and hetero-oligomeric pore-forming cytolytic toxins (or cytolysin)

Staphylococcal gamma-hemolysin (Hlg), leukocidin (Luk), and Panton-Valentine leukocidin (PVL) are two-component and hetero-oligomeric pore-forming cytolytic toxins (or cytolysin) Included in this SS is a gene encoding the IgG-binding protein SBI, always co-occurring with the hlg gene cluster. I have also included Alpha-haemolysin, just to give it a home. |
